The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Emerald Atlas is the story of three children who have spent their lives as orphans shuffled around and unwanted - desperately wondering what happened to the parents who loved them and the happy home they once knew.
Unknown to them they are intricately connected with places and things of magic. As they learn of this world, they also learn that they must stick together and fight against the evil that drove them from their home if they want to stay alive, much less see their parents again.
This story was a fun magical adventure. I enjoyed reading it and think that there was a good blend of interesting characters, action, suspense, and humor. I would reccommend this book to teen-agers or adults looking for a fun read. Some parts are a little too creepy for younger readers though.
